Venustus Cichlid Bump on Top Fin

Hello. I have a Venustus that it seems to have a bump or dried scar on his top fin (see image). The fish seems fine and happy and I don’t believe it’s a disease but an old wound that didn’t heal right maybe. I just wanna make sure it’s not something to worry about. Is there a way to get rid of it? Thanks

It's hard to tell from the pictures but it looks fine at the base of the fin at the body. How long has it been like this?

It’s been like this ever since I bought it from fish store 2 months ago. I didn’t notice the bump until I got home and added to my tank. As you’ve mentioned, it’s on the tip of fin, not the body and the fish looks healthy and active, great appetite so I was thinking it was nipped but didn’t heal correctly. Do you think it’ll go away in it’s own or is there a safe way to remove? Thanks for replying.

It may go away on it's own. Keep up on the water changes and watch to make sure it isn't getting any worse.
