Cichlid species ID

Good afternoon all. I am not exactly new to cichlids but I am new to this forum. I need help identifying the fish that I have attached an image of in this post. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Kent. Possible T. Sparrmanii/"Sulfer Head" cross???20190806_123004.jpg

I'm not real sure about that one. It has some characteristics of a Peacock Cichlid. I'd say it's definitely a female. Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the quick response and the reply. I also, I am completely confused on this 1. There is a breeding population near me and they are all different sizes and whatever type it is, it is stabilized. The juveniles 2 to 3" look identical to the ones that are 4 plus inches. A true mystery on my end.

Did you get the from a pet store or a breeder? Now days there's so much cross breeding going on it can be hard to tell species.

No sir. I found this in a self contained lake. that his been around for about 75 or 80 years if I'm not mistaken per the neighborhood

I am at work now. When I get home I will send the actual supposed scientific name of the species I think the T. Sparrmanii was crossed with at some point
